Ben Abbatangelo is a journalist, strategy and innovation partner, angel investor and former professional athlete. He is currently in the formative phases of founding Buck, an early-stage venture capital fund backing out-of-network founders building out of necessity, not opportunity.

With more than a decade of global leadership experience, Ben’s work spans the intersections of planetary health, Indigenous rights, politics, economics, technology, and education, across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. As a multi-disciplinary story holder, maker and teller, Ben contributes to various domestic and international publications. In 2023, he was recognized as a Walkley Finalist, Australia's equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.
